Facilities Engineer (Artico)

Role Overview

JOB PURPOSE

Responsible for managing the efficient operation of assigned Artico cold storage facility, including planning and organizing preventive maintenance program, material handling equipment, safety and security, and compliance with rules and regulations.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure that all machines and equipment are in excellent working condition by conducting regular inspection, implement preventive maintenance and undertake corrective or emergency maintenance works to achieve customer satisfaction and operating cost efficiencies
  • To be assigned as the facility’s Pollution Control Officer and ensure compliance with DENR and other government-related compliances; 
  • Maintain safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying to government and legal regulations
  • Handle security, housekeeping and maintenance services
  • Enhance the property and ensuring compliance with building codes through projects and building development;
  • Handle internal and external facilities and operations audits
  • Prepare and reviews plans, estimates, scope of work for various projects; and
  • Monitor construction or renovation works and ensures that all guidelines are strictly implemented
  • Provides regular status updates to the Operations Manager and to the Facilities Area Manager

 

 QUALIFICATIONS

  • A Licensed Mechanical Engineer
  • With at least 2 years work experience in property management
  • Familiarity in warehouse logistics or logistics operations is a plus
  • A resident near the property or in the vicinity
  • Willing to work weekends and public holidays, and be on-call
