Finance Analyst (CPA)

Role Overview

JOB PURPOSE

  • Work closely with operations for decision support
  • Ensure financial transactions are posted in the system regularly
  • Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual monthly results with budget and forecasts
  • Update management on the financial performance, actual versus forecasts versus budget

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • MIS / Control and Analysis
  • Annual Budgeting
  • Monthly financial performance monitoring and forecasting
  • Internal financial reporting (Monthly CFO report)
  • Budget monitoring
  • CAPEX monitoring
  • Preparation of PR and PO
  • Creation of Project Builder
  • Budget uploading in SAP

 

General Accounting

  • Monthly submission of financial reports (One Line and Full Line) and other required reports in NOAH (PFRS 7, OSS, SRC and Variance Analysis)
  • Monthly bank reconciliation
  • IP and PPE Lapsing schedules
  • Inventory analysis and monitoring
  • Sales reports monitoring
  • Analysis of accounts (BS & P&L)
  • In charge of internal and external audit
  • Preparation of Audited Annual Financial Statements and BOI Supplementary Reports

 

Taxation

  • External financial reporting (BIR, BOI & PEZA)
  • Assists in BIR Audits, if there is any
  • Preparation of income tax return (quarterly/annual)
  • Checking of tax computations
  • DST – on or before the 5th of the month
  • EWT with QAP – on or before the 10th of the month
  • Final tax – on or before the 10th of the month
  • VAT returns with SLSP– 25th of the month
  • Submission of inventory list – on or before the 30th of January, if any
  • Submission of books generated from SAP – on or before the 30th of January

 

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in major department projects and take an active role in cross-functional teams to assist in driving quality improvements, processes, and initiatives
  • Actively participates and communicates in the team-based work groups that make up the Finance Department
  • Other functions that may be necessary to the overall function

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A graduate of BS Accountancy
  • A CPA is preferred
  • A resident of Makati or nearby areas
  • With at least 2 years experience in finance analysis and reporting
